David and Anita take overseas and domestic bridge holidays to various destinations. Overseas holidays focus on touring, with a few visits to local bridge clubs and bridge discussions with David. Our first trip, in 2013, was to Japan’s main island (Honshuu), including Kyoto and Hiroshima. The group of 29 people also took the opportunity to enjoy Yotsuya Bridge Club’s hospitality in Tokyo, duplicate sessions in the other cities and David’s bridge expertise. In May 2014, we spent 13 nights in Florence and Verona and played bridge at local clubs in Florence, Lucca, Padova & Verona, as well as several workshops with David. Then we moved onto Bellagio on Lake Como for 5 glorious days and nights and finally Milan. Click here for the report and look at our gallery of photos as well.
In September 2016, we returned to Europe for our first Austria/Prague trip – lots of strudel & schnitzel! 2017 saw a trip to rural France; 2018 – a return to Italy, adding on the Cinque Terre area. In 2019, we head for Croatia/Slovenia and in 2020 – Germany/Alsace. Stay tuned for details on future trips….
Domestic trips have multiple duplicate bridge sessions and workshops in lovely surroundings such as Leura (Blue Mountains), Bowral (Southern Highlands), Gerringong (South Coast), Wisemans Ferry and Port Stephens (North Coast).
